After numerous trips to the stunning shores of Puerto Vallarta, we discovered a hidden gem that redefines luxury and elegance - Hotel Mousai. Nestled between the lush Sierra Madre Mountains and the sparkling waters of Banderas Bay, this avant-garde hotel promises an unforgettable escape for those seeking opulence and tranquility.
We were immediately captivated by the contemporary design and artistic flair of the North Tower’s lobby, from where we enjoyed a seamless check-in process that set the stage for an extraordinary stay.
The lobby bar quickly became our favourite sunset cocktail spot with its breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean.
Our sophisticated suite showcased modern luxury, featuring sleek furnishings, a private terrace with a jacuzzi, and stunning Pacific Ocean views. Hotel Mousai's attention to detail was evident in the design, with the room's lighting, music scenes, and amenities controlled effortlessly through a hotel-provided iPad.
Hotel Mousai boasts a diverse range of dining options that cater to every palate. From gourmet Mexican cuisine at Blanca Blue to the rooftop delights at The Rooftop by Mousai, each meal was a culinary adventure of steak, seafood, vegetarian, and vegan options. The presentation, flavors, and impeccable service elevated the dining experience to new heights. For those preferring privacy, 24-hour room service was available by phone, or through the hotel-provided iPad.
A visit to Hotel Mousai's spa “Imagine”, is a must for anyone seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. The spa's innovative treatments, coupled with its serene atmosphere, provided the perfect escape. Whether lounging by the infinity pool or indulging in a spa ritual, every moment was an opportunity to unwind and recharge. If you do happen to have a rainy day, we highly recommend spending a few hours enjoying the hydrotherapy room available for a small fee.
TierraLuna Gardens, a recent addition, provided a tranquil sanctuary where nature and luxury coexist. The gardens, lit magically at night, offered a peaceful retreat with dining options at Karuma "Art of the Grill" Steakhouse and a traditional carousel.
While Hotel Mousai is a retreat itself, the concierges eagerly organized excursions to explore Puerto Vallarta, including the historic Malecon, vibrant Zona Romantica, and boat trips to hidden beaches. Rhythms of the Night was a personal favorite, allowing immersion in the region's rich culture and natural beauty.
Back at the hotel, our three most memorable moments included enjoying the carousel at TierraLuna Gardens, participating in a Ceviche Class, and savoring the decadence of the South Tower Bar.
